Passionate About Biking in Annapolis?
Since the public meetings on May 26th and July 20th regarding the
City of Annapolis Bicycle Master Plan, Toole Design Group and the
Steering Committee have been hard at work. The public meetings and the
community walk website generated over 500 public comments all of which
have guided the Master Plan process to create a long lasting bicycle
transportation program.
The DRAFT Master Plan provides
opportunity to review the document prior to the upcoming meetings before the
Transportation Board and the Planning Commission.
Critical Information Alert System: CodeRED®
The
Annapolis Office of Emergency Management tested the new CodeRED
emergency community notification system last Thursday morning. This
system will provide the community with important emergency incident
information and directives. CodeRED can also be used to provide general
information messages related to City services.
The test call went to City landline phones and the system recorded the
test results. This first test was a great success reaching the majority
of City residents and businesses.
Annapolis residents and
businesses that wish to add cell phone numbers, text messaging and/or
email addresses to the local alert system to receive community
notification alerts by more than one method can go to www.annapolis.gov/codered
(click on the CodeRED logo) online or call 410-216-9167 for assistance
in adding contact information if they do not have internet access.
On
the online form, the “general notifications” option is to receive
non-emergency messages from the City of Annapolis. You may opt out of
“general notifications”.
